Apple Oatmeal Bake
Preheat oven to 190 degrees. In a bowl, toss apple slices with lemon juice and 1 tablespoon brown sugar. Spread apple slices along the bottom of a baking pan with slices overlapping. Top with 4 tablespoons water.
Bake apples about 20 minutes until crisp. In the meantime, mix oats, cinnamon, salt, and 1 tablespoon brown sugar in bowl.
Mix butter into oat mixture until evenly spread throughout mixture. Sprinkle oat mixture over apples and bake until topping is golden, 25 to 30 minutes.
Let stand about 10 minutes and then serve and enjoy.
- 2 medium Del Monte® red delicious apples, peeled and cut into thin slices
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- ¼ cup water
- ¼ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 tsp cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
