Caramelized Pineapple with Cinammon

10 minutes preparation - 10 minutes cooking

step1Mix the lime juice and half the lime zest with 1 tbsp honey, a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg. Set this sauce aside. Mix the icing sugar and a pinch of cinnamon with the fromage frais.

step2In a non stick frying pan, heat the butter with 1 tbsp honey until melted, then add the pineapple and cook over a high heat for 8 mins, turning regularly until caramelised. Add the lime juice mix in the pan for a few seconds, glazing the pineapple.

step3Serve immediately with the remaining lime zest and accompanied by a dollop of the cinnamon fromage frais

  • 1 Del Monte Gold® Pineapple, peeled and cut in slices or wedges
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 200g very low-fat fromage frais
  • 2 pinches ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp icing sugar
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1 lime
  • few grating of whole nutmeg
