French Toast with Pears and Cinnamon
In a pan over medium heat, sauté pears with butter and brown sugar for about 4 – 5 minutes until tender. Remove from heat when done. In the meantime, in a large bowl combine eggs, cinnamon, milk, and vanilla.
Soak bread slices in mixture for 3 mins until saturated.
Spray a skillet with non stick spray or coat lightly with butter and sauté each soaked bread slice until golden on each side. Top with Del Monte® pear mixture.
Sprinkle cinnamon, drizzle maple syrup, or top with chopped pecans if desired.
- 2 medium Del Monte® pears, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp butter
- 6 slices whole wheat bread
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup milk
- 4 eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- ¼ cup pecans, chopped (optional)
