Pineapple Spiced Pork
10 minutes preparation - 10 minutes cooking
Toss the pork strips and the Five Spice powder together in a food bag.
Heat the groundnut oil in a large non-stick pan. Add the seasoned pork and cook for three minutes.
Add the frozen peppers and cook for two more minutes.
Now add the Del Monte® Pineapple, the juice and the ketchup and soy sauce. Bring to a boil, then simmer for two minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
In a mug or cup, mix the cornflour with a little water until smooth. Stir into the pork and Del Monte® Pineapple mixture. Simmer until the sauce has thickened, then season again and serve.
- 300g pork loin, sliced
- 3 tsp Chinese Five Spice
- Groundnut oil
- 500ml frozen peppers
- ½ x 432g tin Del Monte® Pineapple Chunks in Juice, drained, juice reserved
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp cornflour
- 1tsp water
