1. A Festive Del Monte Gold Pineapple
No Christmas pineapple hamper would be complete without a festive Del Monte Gold Pineapple, and throughout the festive season they come with a special Holiday tag:
You may be thinking; how do I wrap up such an odd-shaped gift? Here's how:
You'll need fabric, fabric glue, and ribbon.
Cut your fabric into a square large enough to cover the pineapple fruit (approx. 20"x20"). Bring the corners of the fabric upwards and twist around the leaves of pineapple, tying at the middle with ribbon. Done!
2. Homemade Pineapple Upside-Down Cake
Pass the time on Christmas Eve by baking a Del Monte Gold Pineapple upside-down cake in the morning to add to your hamper. Let it cool throughout the day, pop it in a bakery box, tie some red and gold ribbon around the box and finish off with a handwritten Christmas wish.
You can find the full recipe for mini pineapple upside down cakes on our website, but if you want to make a big one, just use six times the amount of ingredients (click on the image to see the recipe).
3. Homemade Pineapple Face Mask
For smoother, more toned skin with visibly smaller pores, pineapple works wonders. This homemade treatment has been known to reduce acne and help people with troublesome skin by exfoliating dead skin from your face. You can make it from home in just a few minutes and pop it in a clear bottle so they can use it at a later date.
To make the treatment, all you have to do is take a Del Monte Gold Pineapple and chop it up into 1″x1″ cubes. Add a squeeze of lemon juice, honey and coconut milk and mix together. They can rub it on their face, wait 10 minutes and shower it off for beautiful looking skin.
4. Bouquet of Mini Pineapple Flowers
These are super cute and look great as part of a bouquet of flowers. The Ananas (Pineapple Flowers) are native to the Tropical Americans and Pacific Islands, but are available in most wholesale flower markets. They have the sweet smell of pineapple, but aren't edible, so leave the snacking to Del Monte Gold Pineapples!
Tropical flowers will always bring a feeling of fun and happiness to any flower arrangement, and are known for their long vase life - making them the perfect addition to your Christmas Pineapple Hamper!
5. Colourful Pineapple Prints
If you're feeling creative, you can hand-paint these beautiful pineapple prints to make unique designs for your loved one. Pop them in a white or black frame and they will look beautiful on a bedroom or living room wall.
